Viagra has helped millions of men with erectile dysfunction
since 1998
It's hard to believe that Viagra has just turned 10! That's
right, it's been 10 years since the FDA
approved Viagra in March 1998. Viagra was somewhat of
a taboo back then; the only men buying viagra pills were impotent
or had some sort of sexual dysfunction. Viagra was like a
dirty little secret, a magic pill for those who had a hard
time 'getting it up'. This has all changed. The politically
correct term for 'difficulty in getting it up' is "Erectile
Dysfunction" ( ED ) and these days it's easier to purchase
viagra as well. Men fax in their prescriptions and buy
viagra online, generic viagra is readily available and
in 2007, Viagra pills were sold in selected pharmacies without
a prescription in the UK, (but UK pharmacies were not inclined
to sell cheap viagra,
the price was outrageously high).
Looking back at all the buzz surrounding Viagra's release
in 1998, and later followed by generic
viagra, I find it amusing how men kept their use of the
drug a secret from everyone, including their wives; some women
didn't know what hit them when limp lovers suddenly lasted,
strong and hard, the whole night long like insatiable, eighteen
year olds. Men would use code words for Viagra pills, like
'vitamin-v' or the more obvious the 'little blue pill' (or
just the 'blue pill' for men that had a problem using the
word 'little'). It was all rather silly, but it just comes
to show how daft we men were about our sexuality back then.
Who says we've stopped evolving?
Viagra patent holder, Pfizer, had a tremendous first year.
Pfizer raked in some 4 BILLION dollars in sales from 1998-99.
Generic Viagra manufacturers also raked in the big bucks,
selling generic brands such as levitra,
kamagra and others. Finding
cheap viagra was impossible in the early years and men couldn't
buy viagra online therefore, Pfizer and top generic viagra
manufacturers benefited most.
Scientist from all over the world jumped on the band wagon,
finding scientific excuses to 'personally' experiment with
Viagra and generic viagra. These scientists wanted to give
the public 'first-hand' accounts of the effects of sildenafil
- the active ingredient in Viagra and most generic viagra
pills. Such was the case with two Sex Educators in America.
Gary Schubach. a sexologist and Shama (a holistic hypnotherapists
and sex counsellor) decided to try Viagra pills before recommending
the famous blue pill to the public. The Sex educators admitted
that their curiosity about the effects of Viagra was no different
than everybody elses. The only difference was that they approached
it as a scientific experiment.
